This performance shines the spotlight on guitar virtuoso Pat Metheny, focusing on his highly influential record 80/81 featuring Michael Brecker, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Jack DeJohnette. 80/81 fused straight ahead, free jazz, and folk music into one of the defining albums of the era. This performance honors the legacy of the great Jack DeJohnette who sadly passed away in October 2025. Alongside 80/81, Rhys will be presenting other works by Pat Metheny as well as original compositions influenced by him.
