Details

This concert series traces the arc of human experience from joy to remembrance to consolation.

Last performed by the Chorale over a decade ago, we welcome the return of one of the greatest works for choir ever written, the Requiem by Herbert Howells.

Also on the program: Reena Esmail’s TaReKiTa and Tuttarana dazzle with rhythmic exuberance, and Adolphus Hailstork’s Songs of Life and Love celebrate the bonds between us. Ysaye M. Barnwell’s Wanting Memories and Ingram Marshall’s Hymnodic Delays explore how the voices of the past echo within us, before Herbert Howells Requiem (written in the shadow of his son’s death) carries us from grief toward the promise of light eternal.

Music reminds us what we love is never lost. $50.
