Taiko, the art of Japanese Ensemble Drumming, has created and nurtured enthusiastic communities of drummers, students, performers, and instructors throughout the world, honoring and expanding this ancient art form into modern-day relevance and cultural identity. The North American Taiko Conference is a premier event, gathering over 400 Taiko drummers from around the world! Begun in 1997 and held every other year, they are happy to be hosted in Phoenix, which has a long and vibrant Taiko history. They invite the community to attend “Taiko Jam”. The conference's showcase performing event presents San Jose Taiko, Makoto Taiko (Pasadena), featuring Phoenix Taiko drumming groups Fushicho Daiko, Ken Koshio, and Koshio Gumi, and Tucson ensemble Odaiko Sonora. Join the many Taiko enthusiasts gathered from around the world as we celebrate the power, energy, and community of Taiko in Arizona! $30.
