Widely hailed as one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, Peterson earned the admiration of both the classical and jazz worlds over a career spanning more than six decades. His original compositions—rarely performed—reveal the full breadth of his distinctive voice, from hard-swinging blues to pensive, understated ballads.
