The Power of Poison, one of Arizona Science Center’s latest exhibitions, explores poison’s paradoxical roles in nature, human health and history, literature, and myth. Whether as a defense against predators, a source of magical strength, or a lethal weapon used as lifesaving medical treatment, the story of poison is surprising at every turn.

The Phoenix Herpetological Society will be on-site for the final day.

There will be a Poison vs. Venom demo at 11:20 AM.
Following this demo, Phoenix Herpetological Society will be showcasing critters until about 1:20 PM and then additional demos will resume.
The Power of Poison invites guests to uncover the captivating and often surprising role of toxins in nature, history, and modern science.
Guests can delve into history’s most puzzling poisoning cases, solve mysteries through interactive clues, and join a live theater presentation to unravel a real-world poisoning scenario while discovering how science demystifies and harnesses poison’s power.
