As Downtown Phoenix’s impressive roster of excellent cuisine, refreshing beverages, and diverse retail options continues to grow, here’s your chance to explore the newest establishments that have recently opened or are opening soon around the neighborhood.
Several new businesses in the area stem from established ownership, adding to the many Downtown destinations we’ve already come to love.
Get to know the new menus, services, and friendly faces from these recently opened businesses in Downtown Phoenix. They have a lot to offer to the community, from aesthetic services to frozen espresso martinis (just in time for summer)!

This Southwest-inspired cafe was recently brought to life by budding entrepreneur Quinlan Hamann. He cultivated his love for coffee making from his background at the long-standing local coffee shop, Hava Java. Cactus Cloud Cafe is located in the space formerly occupied by Hidden Track Café and Bodega. They will be hosting a grand ‘re-opening’ on June 29th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

From the folks that brought you the esteemed authentic Thai restaurant, Lom Wong, comes a place to gather and share unique cocktails, wines, and spirits while feasting on charcoal-grilled Thai barbecue. Mr. Baan’s is located in the alley behind Lom Wong on Portland Street. Their menu includes Mookata, a distinctive cook-it-yourself barbecuing experience that pairs well with their herbaceous cocktails that highlight ingredients found in the cuisines of Thailand.

From the group that brought you classics like Wren & Wolf, Chico Malo, and Trophy Room, Pretty Decent Concepts is debuting a handful of new concepts later this year.
This retro aviation-themed cocktail bar is expected to land in our neighborhood this summer. Think 1960s and early ‘70s old-school luxury air travel meets sophisticated cocktail bar. Carry On will be located in the Renaissance Square, adjacent to its sister concepts, Wren & Wolf and Trophy Room.

Teddy and Katie Myers, the talented hospitality duo behind Pretty Decent Concepts, are bringing three brand new spots to a 10,000-square-foot space at Arizona Center, ultimately aiding the Center’s resurgence as a culinary destination. The steakhouse, currently dubbed “Cleaverman,” will offer walk-in availability with full-service sit-down tables and reserved areas.
The concept plans to incorporate a lively dining environment, with a bar area and DJ performances. In addition to the steakhouse, there will be a vintage martini lounge and a multicourse chef’s tasting menu eatery.
