All aboard the Polar Express!
Take a journey into the Urban Core this Friday, Dec. 6, for a screening of two holiday classics under the stars at Civic Space Park. Break out the long johns and extra blankets, and join us from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a showing of Polar Express and, for the adults, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
We’ll supply the movies and good times, you just need to bring the comfy, cozy accessories. Here’s a short list of “must-brings” for this Friday:
– Holiday PJs (the obvious one!)
– Two warm blankets (one to sit on and one to sit under)
– A scarf, socks and pair of mittens
– A cherished stuffed animal
– A kid-friendly canine
– A camera
– A flashlight
We’ll have free hot chocolate to keep you warm, holiday treats, and of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without an appearance by the big man himself—Santa Claus. You can even hop aboard our very own Urban Polar Express – METRO Light Rail – and take it to the park. It’s located right next to the Central Avenue and Van Buren Street or First Avenue and Van Buren Street light rail stations.
