There are few things more American than Hoovering a hot dog while enjoying a ballgame and this week there’s no shortage of sporting events happening in Downtown Phoenix.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have home dates with rivals San Diego and Los Angeles. Not only is the team closing in on the division lead, but there are some great promotions happening at Chase Field all week long:
Wednesday: The Fourth of July celebration includes pregame ceremony honoring our troops, commemorative stars and stripes D-backs shirt for the first 20,000 fans to enter the stadium, plus a postgame fireworks spectacular. Note: The roof will be closed for the game, then open for the fireworks.
lucha libre mask diamondbacksSaturday: The first 15,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive a D-backs Lucha Libre mask (picture, left). Get there early because these masks promise to be a very hot item.
Sunday: The first 5,000 kids to enter the stadium will receive a free D-backs soccer ball.
The Arizona Rattlers are one of the favorites to win the Arena Football League championship and Friday is your chance to see them take another step toward a division title and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Even better, the team is offering buy-one-get-one-free tickets for the 7 p.m. game versus the Utah Blaze at US Airways Center. And don’t forget that your Rattlers ticket stub entitles you to a free* round-trip fare on METRO Light Rail. (*game day only, valid 4 hours prior to kickoff)
The Phoenix Mercury host Angel McCoughtry and a talented Atlanta Dream team Saturday at US Airways Center. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and tickets start at just $10, or, get two free tickets by signing up for a Taser seminar that will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
