Arizona’s largest dog costume parade, Howl-o-ween, is a fun-filled, Halloween-themed party for the whole family. Launched just two years ago, it’s rapidly grown in popularity — attracting hundreds of dogs and thousands of spectators.
Last year, Downtown Phoenix Inc. partnered with the Arizona Humane Society to raise thousands of dollars for dogs in-need, and we’re hoping to do the same this year. While there’s no way to safely host a major in-person fundraiser like this, we’re hoping the parade can go on — virtually.
Here’s how it works:
- Share a photo to Instagram of your costumed pet (we’re opening it up to all animals, not just dogs) between now through Saturday, Oct. 31.
- If you want to create an ensemble look — dress up too
- Tag us @downtownphoenix and don’t forget to use the hashtag #dtphx_howloween
In lieu of a parade entry fee, we’re asking everyone to please donate $50 (or any amount you can afford) to Arizona Humane Society. What makes this event special is you — and while we can’t celebrate face-to-face, your adorable pet pics and generous donations are the next best thing.
